Daniel Clark (c.1745–?) was a merchant, planter, slaveholder, and a member of the American Philosophical Society, elected in 1769. Born in Sligo, Ireland, Daniel Clark moved to New Orleans around 1770 and became a wealthy merchant, plantation owner, and American consul to the region. He employed his nephew of the same name, who would also become a wealthy merchant and planter in addition to serving as a liaison to Thomas Jefferson regarding the actions of the provincial Spanish Government in the south of what is now the United States (ANB).
