Editions Note: Five editions: one in 1777 (Londres [i.e. Paris),one in 1778 (n.p.), one in 1779 (Philadelphia [i.e. Paris], one in 1785 (Philadelphie [i.e. Paris]), and one in 1823 (Paris). Originally published anonymously, it is apparently an imitation of Benjamin Franklin's 'Poor Richard improved'. The imprint is false; printed in Paris for Jacques Esprit.
